Star Oil Group's history is rich in dates and events that have marked its development

1957

First BP gas station in Mauritania.

1964

Construction of petroleum product storage facilities for the supply of Mauritania’s Iron Ores (MIFERMA and SNIM) in Nouadhibou and Zouerate until 1978.

1970

BP West Africa became BP Mauritanian Petroleum Company then BP Mauritania in 1988.

1989

Control of 70% of BP Mauritania's capital by private Mauritanian groups.

1992

Change of name, BP Mauritanie becomes Elf Mauritanie.

2002

2002 Creation of the Star brand and change of name to Star Oil Mauritania

2004

Acquisition of Mobil Oil Mali which became Star Oil Mali on June 4, 2004

Creation of Star Oil Guinea

Creation of SOS oil

Entry into the capital of Powex Energies Côte d’Ivoire
